Invitation for Tender for the Disposal of Sisal Fibres – Financial Year 2025/2026
INVITATION FOR TENDERS FOR DISPOSAL OF SISAL FIBRES FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2025/2026
TENDER NO. TR94/2025/2026/D/01 LOT 1-5
1. The Tanzania Sisal Board, on behalf of the Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS), intends to dispose of the Sisal Fibres located on the Ngombezi, Magunga, Hale, Mwelya, and Magoma estates. The Sisal Fibres are disposed of on an “as is, where is” basis and the disposing entity shall have no further liability after sale.
2.The Tanzania Sisal Board now invites the tenders for the purchase of Sisal Fibres for the Financial Year 2025/2026. This tender shall be in FIVE lots and eligible buyers shall apply for all grades (grades No. 1, No. 2, 3L, 3S, UG, SSUG, UF, TOW I, TOW II, and FLUME TOW) in one or more lots depending on their interest and capacity. The five lots are as follows:

3.Tendering will be conducted through the international disposal by tender procedures and is open to all eligible tenderers.
4. Interested tenderers may inspect the Sisal Fibres at the specified estates indicated in paragraph 2 between Monday, February 09, 2026 and Monday, February 16, 2026 from 9:30 hours to 16:00 hours.
5. Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the tender documents at the office of the Head of Procurement Management Unit, Tanzania Sisal Board, P.O. Box 277, Mkonge House, Plot No. 65, Independence Avenue/Usagara Street, Website: www.sisalboard.go.tz, Email: dg@sisalboard.go.tz, Teleph"font-size:12.0pt">on Monday to Friday from 9:00 hours to 16:00 hours except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of tender documents in English may be purchased by interested tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Million (TZS 1,000,000.00). Payment should be through the Tanzania Sisal Board’s Account No. 01J1044762800 maintained at the CRDB Bank in Tanga.
7. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security as 1.5% of the total tender price in the form of cash deposit, bank guarantee issued by a reputable bank or an insurance bond issued by a reputable insurance company in Tanzanian Shillings or freely convertible currencies.
8. All tenders in one original plus one copy, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Tanzania Sisal Board Headquarters, First Floor, Mkonge House, Plot No. 65, Independence Avenue/Usagara Street, Tanga at or before 10:00 hours on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tenderers’ representatives who may choose to attend in the opening ceremony at 13:00 hours on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Korogwe Town Council’s Board Room.
9.Late tenders, portion of tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened, and not read-out in public at the tender open ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
